- Choose a mild, fragrance-free detergent designed for delicates
- Gently swirl the fabric rather than scrubbing or wringing
- Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue
If machine washing is unavoidable, always use a mesh lingerie bag and select the gentlest cycle available.
Drying: Skip the Dryer Completely
Heat is one of the biggest enemies of delicate fabric. Dryers can shrink elastic, warp underwire, and cause lace to lose its shape permanently.
Instead, lay pieces flat on a clean towel, gently reshape them, and let them air dry away from direct sunlight (which can fade color over time, especially on darker or printed fabrics).
